Hearthside Family Health
We have been serving the Monadnock region since 2017. Founded by Siobhan Benham, Hearthside Family Health arrived just in time to serve an ever-increasing need for affordable healthcare in an innovative model that connects patients directly with their healthcare provider. Dr. Klonel joined the practice in 2019 and Maeve Bennett joined in 2023. Peggy Abbott also started collaborating on mental health care here in 2023.
Disillusioned by office visit lengths which were too short, paperwork that was too time-consuming and layers of administrative staff who could be a roadblock to patients, everyone agreed that there must be something better!
Carrie Klonel, D.O.
Carrieyes graduated from UNECOM in southern Maine and trained in Reading, PA. She has been a Family Physician for more than 20 years and is passionate about caring for individuals of ALL ages. As a board-certified Family Physician, she is skilled in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, COPD, high blood pressure and asthma as well as acute illnesses such as infections and lacerations. As an Osteopathic Physician, Dr. Klonel is also trained in hands-on musculoskeletal treatment techniques called Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT), which can ease pain and restore proper function for various maladies. She offers OMT to her established patients ONLY.
Siobhan Benham, APRN
Siobhan is a family nurse practitioner who has been practicing since 2009. Prior to getting her APRN degree, she was a registered nurse for 7 years. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with her Bachelors in Science as well as her Masters in Science. She has practiced in Women's Health, Family Care, and Walk-in Care. Siobhan values the personal aspect of primary care and creating relationships to engage each patient to help maintain, attain and support health needs. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and received the 2021 NH Nurse Practitioner of the Year Award.
Peggy Abbott, APRN
Peggy is board-certified as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, receiving her Post Master’s Certificate from Rivier College in 2012. She is board certified as both an Adult and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner, receiving her Master’s Degree in Gerontological Nursing from University of MA-Lowell in 2003. Peggy has gained a wealth of experience over her 20-year career as a Nurse Practitioner and recently decided to focus on providing mental health care in a private practice, where she can utilize her skills and compassion caring for clients in an outpatient setting. She is proud to be a founding partner of Comprehensive Collaborative Care which pairs a clinical psychiatric pharmacist and a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner for collaboration in medication management, evaluation and diagnosis.
